Admission for one to our blind tasting on May 24th, 4-8 PM, celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Judgment of Paris.
We will taste twelve beautiful, balanced wines: 6 from California, and 6 from Burgundy or Bordeaux, France. The tasting will take place from 4-7 pm. You may arrive anytime between 4pm and 6pm, and taste the wines at your own pace. The tasting will be "blind," which means all of the wines will be poured from decanters and you will not know what you are tasting until the end. You will be provided with an instruction packet, tasting sheets to make guesses and take notes, as well as a ballot to cast votes for your favorites.
At 7:00 pm the tasting portion will close. Ballots must be cast by 7:15pm. At that point, a list of the wines will be released, so you'll know what you have tasted, and can compare with your notes. All of the wines will be made available for sale to anyone who would like to purchase or place orders for them.
At approximately 7:30, the winning wines will be announced in two categories: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place selections by our attendees (you), and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place selections made by our panel of professional judges.
The tasting sheet and competition results will also be published on our web site the following day.
